Planning your wedding can be an overwhelming and awesome task. To assist you in your planning, here are the top five things you want to do first.
ONE
Create a planning calendar. Click here for a planning calendar from Real Simple Weddings magazine, May 2008 issue.
TWO
Create a realistic budget. Click here for a budget worksheet from Real Simple Weddings magazine, May 2008 issue.
THREE
Reserve your wedding date at St. John’s. If the date is clear, the reception of your $200 facility deposit and $250 security deposit along with the completed wedding agreement reserves your date. The office cannot “hold” a date, only the deposits and agreement reserve a date. The remaining balance must be received in the church office two weeks before the wedding. If you have not seen the sanctuary (or our fellowship halls, which are available for receptions) you may do so by attending a Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m., or by contacting Susie Moore at 415.751.1626 x1 or
FOUR
Get your marriage license. A valid California marriage license is necessary. Both parties must be present to obtain the license. Plan to apply far
enough in advance. Please bring the license to the wedding rehearsal. The pastor cannot conduct a wedding without
the license. Click here for more information.
